从“三个有效衔接”看小学英语阅读教学英语作为一门语言学科,学生的听说读写四种基础能力一样都不能少,一样都不能弱,必须尽可能均衡,才能相互促进,同步发展,多头共赢。在此,笔者想探讨的是小学生英语阅读教学工作,并试图从阅读教学在学生年级段方面的衔接、与听说写教学的衔接以及与实践的三个角度,分析其意义、方法与作用。

一、针对不同年级段英语阅读教学的衔接

小学期间有6个学年,时间跨度较大,在不同的年级段,学生会在兴趣、能力、习惯等方面存在较大差异,因此必须区别对待。但这种差异不是一夜之间发生的,而是在潜移默化、不断衔接的过程中实现的。因此,小学英语阅读教学应注重各年级之间的衔接。

1.阅读兴趣的衔接

兴趣是最好的老师,要培养学生的阅读能力与习惯,首先必须从提高他们的阅读兴趣着手,循序渐进地引导。小学低年级学生的兴趣爱好偏幼稚、简单,激发他们阅读热情的方式方法多而简单;中年级段的阅读教学则可根据学生兴趣爱好的不断更新升级而转型变化,尤其是在阅读材料的选择方面,更要注重过渡性,在材料的主题、篇幅、难度等方面要结合学生当时的兴趣爱好,有的放矢;高年级学生的兴趣爱好则逐步趋于成熟与理性,激发他们阅读热情的方式方法少但复杂。

一次笔者给中年级学生朗读一篇英语短文,读完之后,学生一个个笑得前俯后仰,一方面说明他们看懂了短文,另一方面说明短文的内容让他们感到开心,也就会感兴趣。全文如下:A man is very hungry, and he goes to buy cakes at a snack bar. When he eats a cake, he finds he is still hungry, and so he eats a second one. He geels so hungry. After seven cakes, he is not hugry. Suddenly, he has an ides. “Aha, if(如果) I eat the seventh one first, I only need to buy one cake, and I can save six yuan.”文章篇幅不长,但是言简意赅地表达了意思,与中年级学生的阅读能力相匹配,同时内容充满笑点,吸引了学生的眼球,有利于学生阅读水平能力的提升。

2.阅读能力的衔接

各个年级段的学生,由于所掌握的英语基础知识、方式方法等方面的程度有差异,所以阅读能力也存在很大差异。低年级学生主要掌握了一些基础的词汇、句型和听说写的能力,对阅读能力要求不高。中年级段的阅读教学应当结合已掌握的词汇、句型等逐步提升,并辅以阅读技巧方面的训练,在阅读的起步阶段打牢基础能力。高年级段不仅对阅读能力有了一定的要求,而且在阅读的速度、难度以及对整篇文章的理解度等方面的要求上,都有了质的飞跃。

3.阅读习惯的衔接

小学低年级由于英语基础知识以及方式方法的限制,接触到的所谓的阅读,主要局限在英语课本上的小诗和歌曲,拓展阅读的内容很少。中年级则可将学生英语阅读习惯逐步固定化,首先从一段时间阅读的内容和数量上进行转变,让学生喜欢、适应并学会基础的阅读,坚持每天有一定量英语阅读训练,为今后长期的英语学习奠定基础。高年级的学生已经开始接触一些短文的阅读,甚至其中经常会出现一些未知的词汇,需要学生根据前后的意思猜测,有一定的难度。

二、阅读与听说写教学方面的衔接

1.与听力教学的衔接

在某种程度上,听力有一部分考验的是学生的阅读能力,一些听力的内容原本就是一篇小短文,对听到的内容进行理解,其实就是在考验学生的阅读能力,只是这种阅读的方式由眼睛转化为耳朵,但是大脑的思考过程大致相同。因此,只要阅读和听力两种教学过程能够融会贯通,是能够相得益彰,相辅相成,事半功倍的。小学英语阅读教学就应当加强与听力教学的结合,如在听力教学过程中,当学生听完一段录音后,可以首先考虑让学生看一遍书面的听力内容,让他们自己消化听力内容,先自主纠正听的过程中没有听明白或混淆的内容,然后教师再就听力过程中的难点内容和听力技巧进行讲解。通过这种方式的听力教学,既锻炼了学生的听力能力,同时又锻炼了阅读能力和自我纠正能力,是一举多得的教学好方法。

2.与口语教学的衔接

阅读是一种英语的摄入学习,而口语则是一种 英语的输出学习,是学习的两种方向,但同样可以相互有效衔接。因为输入是输出的先决条件,只有通过阅读等摄入式的学习,才能不断增强学生的英语基础知识与运用能力,才能确保英语输出(如英语口语表达)的质量。比如英语文章、诗歌的朗诵,就是一种典型的由阅读转向口语的教学方式,只有首先通过有效的阅读,对文章、诗歌的内容、主题有深入了解,朗诵才有可能声形并茂,表达出应有的意境。为加强学生口语与阅读教学的有效衔接,笔者每次都安排“一分钟演讲”活动,让学生在加强阅读、对比的基础上,对自己写的英语作文进行修改,之后课前安排一分钟在全班进行演讲。这样,每月学生都会受到英文诗歌、歌曲的熏陶,同时借助课前一分钟的舞台展示与锻炼口语能力。

3.与写作教学的衔接

英语阅读与写作同样是输出与输入的关系,存在相互衔接,并能相互促进。英语写作的初级阶段往往是模仿式写作,通过模仿一些好的文章的写作手法或者句型、结构等,来学习写作方法,而模仿的第一步就是阅读,通过阅读来了解和掌握写作的技巧,这就是衔接。同时,写作也能反过来促进阅读能力的提升,只有在实际操作的过程中,才能更好地理解写作的技巧与差距,才能更好地反思,进而加深理解,不断提升自身的阅读能力。笔者每两周给学生一篇与教材同步的阅读材料,学生阅读过后进行仿写。如当学生学了动词第三人称单数形式后
